Graduating in less than a month. It doesn't feel real at all. I don't intend to attend commencement. Not my scene. Gonna have a backyard party instead.

Sen Chris Murphy (D-CT) just now:

I love it when christians try to tell me how much they've been persecuted and that socialism is wrong bc of it. It makes it easier to block them. I'm indigenous. Not a big fan of colonizers.

Just received this email from a local disability support and education group that teaches parenting skills. Hearing similar things about financial aid for colleges. They want us scared, stuck, and stupid. We must stand together and learn everything we can. Do not go quietly.

I apologize for my absence. I'm sick in bed and have been for however many days I've been delirious. My Fitbit thinks I'm running daily marathons in my sleep.

This shit is heinous. Wear a mask if you can. My daughter works at local hospitals and says everyone's sick right now.

My family keeps our kids classrooms stocked in healthy snacks and juice boxes so growing kids aren't hungry and can stay focused on learning. It's a few hundred bucks a month. Taking away snap, wic, and school meals will make filling in the gap impossible, because it will be all gap.
Everything is extremely chaotic but the best info we have so far suggests that Trump’s “stop funding” EO would cover:

Medicaid
ESSA funds
IDEA
Snap
School meals
WIC
Head start grants
Child care block grants
Pell grants
Student loans
Higher Ed grants
Housing vouchers
CTE

Devastating beyond words.

I'm going to continue spending some limited time on TikTok. It's been a hard decision, but as I've explored this week, I've found that there is a LOT of community organizing happening over there right now. I don't trust the app, but I will work to connect with my community every way I can.

Didn't know when I got up this morning that I'd be bringing home another foster puppy, but that's okay. This is Jeff the Land Shark. Like most land sharks, he is a 10 week old teething puppy. Huge personality.

Established #gardeners and urban farmers, here's your challenge today: Invite at least 3 people in your neighborhood to meet up for a seed swap.
If you don't want to host at home, reserve a room at the library. Bring coin envelopes for everyone to use as seed envelopes. They're cheap & work great.

Good morning. It's another perfect day to resist and build community. Do you know your neighbors? Make some cookies or buy a nice loaf of bread from a local bakery and take it to a neighbor you haven't gotten to know yet. Yes, even if they align differently from you. Local community is vital now.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

Good morning. I've got school today, so I won't be online much, but I wanted to remind you that you get to choose where your energy gets spent today. Don't let anyone steal it, okay? You've got this.

In the US, seeds are packaged to be used within a year. You can extend this by storing them in a dark, dry space and keeping them cool.

A great method to cut your initial cost is by not buying more seeds than you need. Most carrot packets can grow hundreds of carrots. Split an order w a friend!

Some of you are so scared right now that your anxiety means you won't be able to help in those red letter moments

Use it

You're a citizen & you find yourself in an ICE raid? Too scared to loudly ask "Why is La Migra here?" - PERFECT. Look scared. Take up their time by looking 😰 so others can run
