This has blindsided me. It had never occurred to me that SCOTUS would use the Uncle Bobby's Wedding case to remove basic health protections from the children in an entire state - and the entire country, eventually? I knew it would have drastic effects on schools and teachers, and it has.
The Supreme Court just set aside a 2nd Circuit decision upholding New York's requirement that all school students, public and private, obtain certain vaccinations, without any religious exemptions. It orders the 2nd Circuit to reconsider the ruling in light of SCOTUS' LGBTQ school books decision.

I agree with @mtsw.bsky.social that this case could further harm public schools by making them unsafe for many children. The goal here is pretty clear.

Here's how I met Plymouth Congregational Church, which supported me personally (see below!), 2LGBTQIA+ and marginalized people generally, and reading freedom boldly during #MahmoudvTaylor. Organized religion is complicated for me, but I found love among these people. That gives me hope!
