my own position is that if, as seems likely to me to be the case, they don't back down under court order the coup has been completed and we are in counter-coup territory against an unconstitutional usurpation of the government of the united states, and should start talking like it
i don’t even know if crime is the right word for the illegal destruction of USAID. it is an autocratic power grab and a direct attack on the sovereignty of the american people

if the president’s lackeys can functionally seize control of treasury funds and dismantle a congressionally-created agency without consequence, it’s not that it’s a constitutional crisis as much as it means the constitution is vapor.

3/ different pieces fit together. There also seems to be a significant amount of downloading government data onto private servers, etc, totally outside any cybersecurity regime. Additionally it’s unclear to the people inside whether the people doing these things actually work for the US govt…
