Yeah, how about not dissolving the air safety advisory commission at the FAA. As your team did last week.

SEO is not looking at GSC, Google Analytics, SEMrush.

SEO is not looking at Ahrefs, Semrush.

SEO is not running Screaming frog, Botify.

SEO is the APPLICATION of data, processed through EXPERIENCE and INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE, to take action that adds new ENTITY INFORMATION for ALGORITHMS to process.

💯 agree
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

There isn’t a “correct” way to write. Find your style, find your voice, find your audience, and let that shit flow
Lean in to your interests as a writer. I’m a failed filmmaker who somehow has, at least, found a way to write “cinematically.” I also love intercutting between short scenes on the page to build tension.

For a long time, I shied away from this, thinking it wasn’t very “literary.”

The biggest difference between a beginner and an "expert" is that experts have made waaaaaaaaay more mistakes.

Keep that in mind if you ever doubt yourself for failing. It's all part of the journey.

99% of all of my emails come from answering non-emergency related alerts from various tools or other sources.
It's annoying that Google Search Console blasts everyone with access to an account with emails that raise alarms about thousands of pages not being indexed. It turns out that they're parameterized URLs that have canonicals that don't have parameters. (Ergo, they're working as expected.)

Write that book. Send that story. Query that agent. Ask for that blurb. Maybe it doesn’t work out, but there’s a chance it will, and that chance—however small you think it is—is all you need.

I respect this take. Seems like there are other ways to balance search results without deciding the business model of large websites.
Google: "Hosting 3rd party content is now spam."

Publishers: "OK, we'll write the content ourselves then."

Google: "If it's content outside your 'core purpose', it's also spam."

Publishers: "Wait, what? Anything that makes us money is spam?! How are we to survive then?!?"

Google: "Just buy ads."
