not only am I 4 days behind on my drawtober, the deadline for the next one is tomorrow, ugh 😭 I've been feeling off since the beginning of Oct, I thought it was stress from mom's surgery or FrogCon but it's just getting worse?

listen, I would LOVE to only be disabled in evenings or weekends, or maybe every other Friday, but it doesn’t work like that…

looking “normal” for a few hours takes a LOT of work and energy and many disabled and chronically ill folks don’t even have that luxury

my mom is getting heart surgery tomorrow

this one promises to be less invasive and she’ll be awake for it (angioplasty) but her last one (bypass/stent) went wrong and she lost 6-7 months to hospitalization/infection/illness and has no memory of that time, so to say I’m on tenterhooks is a bit mild
