It is frustrating that the NYT profiled that AI grifter when Romance is such a load-bearing corner of publishing. You wouldn’t do that unless you actively hate books and the entire cultural apparatus around them.

Liam was taken from Columbia Heights, the town just south of my high school in Fridley and just north of the Arts district in NE Minneapolis. I spent a lot of time with friends there after extracurriculars. News of his abduction completely broke my heart. I’m glad he’s home. #Comics4Liam

if you engage with stalking culture of celebrities you dont respect them as people btw. its so fucking infuriating to see
really hate to see how actors who portrayed a gay couple terrified to be outed, are now hounded by paparazzis and their supposed fans are supporting this breach of their privacy and speculating on their sexualities.

Turns out the og cover was stolen + the book is at least AI-edited. Stay away from it

absolutely torn apart by how many people i see praise and love this AI book, we're reading slop and we don't know it. So many people genuinely invested in supporting an author and a work, and its not a human one, its pretending to be what it isn't
the worst thing about gen AI is that now art has to be looked at with suspicion. Having to consider that art could be simply a husk with no human instead of engaged with earnestly: soul crushing.
