What Trump wants is for SCOTUS to rule in his favor likely so he can start expanding the concept that all immigrants he doesn’t like are here illegally and can therefore be deported whether they had children born here or not.

That’s where it gets interesting. If people born to undocumented immigrants are not subject to our jurisdiction, then we can’t do ANYTHING to them. We can’t arrest them, we can’t deport them, we can’t do anything to them. If you’re not under our jurisdiction, then we can’t apply our laws to you.
