It’s that time of year

I’m breaking out the heated blanket 🔥

The Outer Wilds DLC really proving how much of a coward I am 😭😂

My heart goes out to all of those grieving silently

What is grief but love persevering

Despite my bad handwriting, I enjoy writing analog

I’ve recently taken up journaling and it’s been fun having an excuse to just physically write

Taking notes for DnD is also the highlight of my week

Cried 3 times today thinking about Outer Wilds

What a beautiful game and impactful game

I finished Outer Wilds and that game is a work of art

That game is one of kind and such a unique and beautiful experience

You can feel the passion and dedication in the creation of that game and I cannot recommend it enough

Going to the library has become a fun 3rd place to visit

I don’t interact with them much, but seeing the kindness my librarians show to my community is very uplifting

I'm making my own monthly reflection assessment charts.

I want to start being more intentional with my life and seeing where I'm putting my time and energy will help

I made a patreon for easy download so other people can use it too!

It's free for all to use!

🎃Happy Halloween🎃

Trashboat’s family has a tradition of having a grilled cheese bar and painting a pumpkin

It’s quickly becoming my favorite tradition

(I of course paint a moth every year)

Trashboat and I are getting close to the end of Outer Wilds and we’re finally getting stuck with the last few things to discover

They really don’t hand anything solutions to you, you gotta figure it out yourself

Can’t wait to finish Outer Wilds on Friday with Trashboat

What a game. It’s a truly unique experience.

I see why it will never be overwhelmingly popular, but those that take the time to enjoy it will remember it forever

Last year was the year of Robin Hobb

This year is the year of Brandon Sanderson

At some point I’ll actually have to listen to Tolkien

In the meantime, anyone have any ridiculously long fantasy series recommendations?

Been thinking about the knights radiant oath of Journey before Destination

As an artist I also interpret it as Process before Product

That’s why I hate AI art so much. It puts the product before the process

Current WIP

Had to draw some rain spren for this spooky and rainy time of year

Also, will probably change the background. Not really satisfied with it

I’ve been playing Outer Wilds with Trashboat and my friend and holy cow what a game

I’m not done yet but it’s a very interesting game and a very unique experience

Our feature artist/tutorial for today is this WONDERFUL & ESSENTIAL page on the placement of BODY FAT on figures by the talented @marinscos! REAL BODY SHAPE VARIETY is a part of what makes us all beautiful, and that should be reflected in our art. I LOVE this. #ART #anime #ARTIST

Mornings can be rough for trauma survivors, especially if we struggle w/ sleep. They often lead us into work days where our nervous system expects to feel trapped, controlled, &/or in trouble.

Crafting a recovery supporting morning routine can be an underrated recovery priority.

It’s been perfect Autumn weather lately 🍂

I don’t love the shrinking daylight but the day I am given is perfect

My best advice to try to get a handle on shit right now?

Make something.

Don't care what. Don't care if it's good. Don't care if it's just a big ass house you made in Sims 4, just lose yourself in something for an hour or so.

It' s like flushing the brain toilet.

ATTENTION! Chris here: Down to the wire. About to lose our storage and home. If we can last a couple more months here I can move us to an apt that is far more affordable/avoid sleeping in the car. Im going to open a new digital bundle tier for $105 which gets you everything in the shop plus bonuses.

We want art with heart and sweat and blood put into it. We want to feel the love of every single story that inspired a piece in its DNA not through some rancid algorithms compressing them into a mock immitation of them. We are participating in a sacred call and response that stretches across time.
“I am not interested, nor will I ever be interested. I'm 61, and I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak. ... The other day, somebody wrote me an email, said, ‘What is your stance on AI?’ And my answer was very short. I said, ‘I'd rather die.’” 🫡
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro says 'I'd rather die' than use generative AI
Del Toro's new Frankenstein adaption reimagines Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic novel. Frankenstein was like a tech bro: "creating something without considering the consequences," he explains.
