News: [MP] has had their party membership suspended and has had the whip removed.

Me, a silly person: "Damn, not only did they lose their job, but their car got towed. That's harsh."

I've been writing for over 20 years and have never even considered using the Predictive Text That Makes People Kill Themselves. When I need to do "quick research" I get lost on wikipedia for 4 hours like a normal person. Genslop users are the weakest people alive.

Presumably this is why the development cycle for AAA games is now 7-10 years.
I say this with utmost respect, but Taylor is an absolute tool for saying this privately or publicly.
I can say on good authority that it takes 7 to 10 years to develop game development skills to “good enough” to produce commercial game content. 7-10 years plus the cost of a university education.

Got to play a bit of #pathfinder2e yesterday (a rare treat for this forever GM) and it turns out a water/wood kineticist is a highly specialised machine for disposing of skeletons. Running around popping skulls off while the rest of the party flails with slashing and piercing weapons. Feels great.

“bsky is boring!”

1) good
2) social media should not be a cornerstone of your everyday entertainment
3) I find new artists to follow every day and look at pretty art endlessly on here when I feel like it
4) get a tactile hobby where you create something with your hands
5) read book
6) walk outside

Last night in the #pathfinder2e Abomination Vaults, the party spent half an hour discussing how to solve a puzzle involving a small body of water without crossing or entering said water, decided they'd have to swim, and the cleric *immediately* got eaten by a giant fish. Typical.

So excited Pathfinder Impossible Magic got announced! I am happy to say I'm one of the project leads on this book. Josh and the team cooked up some really exciting new ways to use magic in your game, along with some much-requested remasters. Also, so many spells. Holy crap so many.

This is why The Wind of Winter is taking so long. GRRM keeps getting competing bids from Pizza Hut and Olive Garden and having to rewrite half the dialogue.

UK Governmeny says mass production and distribution of CSAM is legal now. What a time to be alive.
Keir Starmer's spokesman tells me that X and Grok's creation of sexual deepfakes of children is "completely unacceptable" but again won't commit to taking direct action against them, or to stop posting there.

I slipped on a cat and fractured a vertebrae.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Not-so-friendly reminder that YOUR religion can only tell YOU what to do, it cannot dictate terms for anyone who does not choose to follow it. Laws should not be made on the basis of faith.

In my experience, death is a poor motivator for PCs because players are always ready to try out a new character concept. Derailing their plans or threatening something they can't just replace with half an hour of bookwork is much more effective at maintaining narrative tension.
Reframing my GM mindset from “challenge comes from threatening the PCs’ lives” to “challenge comes from threatening their goals” has made my experience at the table more fun.

The tension can come from the chance of them completing their goals rather than the possibility of death.
