Hello, #FolkHorrorFriday watchers. Unfortunately, the movie I had planned for this Friday (Cropsey) is no longer on Tubi. In keeping with our docu-mocku-found footage theme, I might suggest SATAN WANTS YOU (a doc I have not seen) as an alternative.

I'll make more suggestions in the replies:

Really excited to be a part of this!
The first issue of Crossroads is really coming together. I knew it would happen, but seeing it actually happen feels incredible. Can't wait to get this out into the world.

For the @avclub.com, I wrote about *that* scene in 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE, strongmen getting the symbols they co-opt thrown back in their faces, and how sometimes the most metal thing to do is help someone else.

The best scene in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is a musical war for symbols
Nia DaCosta's sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple pits a nihilist cultist against a hopeful humanist in a metal showdown for the ages.

If you love folk horror (and Dev Patel) you'll be able to check out RABBIT TRAP on January 30. Hits theaters that day in the UK and Kanopy in the US.

Before that, see the films that inspired the director with my zine partner's watch party on January 24. Details in the quoted post.

serious question for all folk horror folk: what is the relationship between #folkhorror and the internet? does it include slenderman? or WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR? is it a reaction to/against?
