Hopefully this is the craziest America gets. We still live in it, but there were multiple times where Trump could have done something stupid and plunged this country into mass civil conflict. People seem to be backing away from him now though. That window is closing. I can only hope.

A pretty good photo I got that perfectly highlighted the general growth cycle of a coprinoid fruitbody. Generally I use pics for ID but I couldn't ignore this lol. I would prefer photo credit if someone used it for anything.

Yeah, and the thing is that everyone is being angry over the same symptoms. Just because 40% (to be generous) of Americans are convinced that the cause is diversity and empathy doesn't mean that group also won't be passionately angry at the real causes when the illusion breaks.
That’s by design. Billionaires monetize rage bait, and it has the added bonus of keeping us fighting with each other while they rob us blind. But one day soon, all the anger from the culture wars they’ve cultivated to distract us from the class war will be turned on them.
One of the biggest revelations of the social media age imo is how much people are addicted to getting mad, so much so that they'll actively create reasons when there are none.
