Following my copper seahorse inclusion project's lost flame painted dimension it was fun to make this piece combining copper inclusions with kiln carving. The aim was to add dimension and texture to increase the play of light capturing qualities of the clear glass. #Craft

Before and after of an experiment to see if flame painted copper would survive being fused inbetween glass. In short no,1 the colour variation was lost but I'm still happy with the final piece and the learning.

Victory in Europe 80 years on. Remembering the sacrifice of those who lost their lives & the sacrifice of those who lived out their days despite what they had witnessed. Thinking how our neighbour Doug kept his promise to a friend who didn't return by looking after his family member until he was 98

Latest work a Mondrian inspired leaded stained glass panel has had it's week of lying flat for the putty to dry and is now ready to be installed to replace the 1970's serving hatch. First time making to fit a gap so wish me luck with the installation!

Today on the bench I'm leading up this Mondrian inspired stained glass panel which is going to replace the 1970s wooden doors of a serving hatch. First time making to fit a specific gap so accuracy is key!!

In the process of putting lead came around a variety of sizes of quadrilateral textured clear glass with red, yellow, blue and white glass accents in the style of Mondrian. Glass is laid out on a board and nailed in place with horseshoe nails and plastic clips to keep it together during construction.
