Astonishing admission from Ollie Ilott, the Director General for AI in the British government.

He says you wouldn't want an opt-out from AI training to be too easy to use, because the primary goal would be to get more work for AI companies to train on 🤯

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 23 “Chaos.” layered paint/paper 11 by 14 (in), an exploration of vibrant energy and layered complexity. I wanted to capture the feeling of spontaneous creativity—a vivid, intense rhythm that invites you to get lost in its depth and movement. #AbstractArt

Day 18
The idea for this leaded glass panel was for the lead to be the star.
Overlapping leads, clear hammered glass for texture and empty spaces in the design created these tree root like shapes. Leads polished and waxed to keep them silver help the leads shine

Reclaiming glass from old leaded windows revealed precious gems. Cleaning up pieces revealed flashed glass edges. Ancient craftsman's grozing marks reflect light like sparkling crystals exposed after years under leads to celebrate these vibrant ancient jewels.

The road out of our village captured in traditional glass painting with dip pen and washes using reusche tracing black and glorious clove oil. Set off by this beautiful blue green wispy glass which was too lovely to cut for any other project.

Day 14

In this silverpoint illustration of our native prairie crocus, I used a piece of silver wire as a stylus on a specially prepared painted base called a ground. This technique was popular for centuries before graphite pencils became available.

14th December! Behind door number Fourteen we have:

"Rock hopper Penguin" - Acrylic on A4 paper.

I don't often paint "things", I prefer my art to be purely abstract, but very occasionally I'll whack a bit of wildlife in there for fun.
