Been watching Doctor Who for many years. Thirteen is the Doctoriest Doctor. Also enjoy much other telly/movies. Currently on another attempt to get caught up with all the Skulduggery Pleasant novels. Often partake in a bit of Audible and love the graps.

No plans today, so I thought I'd post a little thread about my Doccy Who journey over the years. As there have been quite a few of them. Kicking off with the earliest photos that I still have of me doing #DoctorWho things; Watching my 'big' Christmas present in 1985. And some Nan knitting!
I was today years old when I discovered that Glen Powell is not the first "running man" who Emilia Jones has encountered during her acting career. 🤯 #TheRunningMan #DoctorWho

This was an easy one, cos I love a story with a little Tardis-doing-something-different action. And the scene in that first photo always reminds me of the bus crash/rescue in Delta and the Bannermen! #DoctorWho

8 years ago today, we got our first look at the Thirteenth Doctor's iconic costume.

I loved it from the start, it felt proper old school #DoctorWho to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd been cool with the Doctor dressing normally('ish) since the start of New Who. But this felt so properly Doctory! 🥰

Hi Disney! Now you're saving money from #DoctorWho, how about reversing a recent (and ludicrous) cancellation and give us another series of a show that was 100 times better the last 3 years of Who. #RenegadeNell

Alternatively, hey BBC. Let Sally Wainwright run Who with Louisa Harland as the Doctor!

I'm largely meh at the prospect of more RTD #DoctorWho And considering where he left things at the end of season 2'ish, the chances that it won't be another self-indulgent celebration of his own era are likely slim.

But it's fine. 'Cos we'll still only be ¾'s of the way through series 12b by then!☺️

So having Mercedes on a show is clearly a big draw. And a promotion being able to call her their women's champion might bring fresh eyes their way.

But it also kinda puts those titles in limbo for the smaller promotions. Mercedes has titles she won in June/July that haven't been defended since #AEW

Half of #AEW and #ROH women's titles have now been held for over a year (2+ for Athena). Red Velvet only dropped the TV title (after a year) due to injury. Subsequently Mina's had just one defense.

Meanwhile, we're not getting much in the way of ongoing feuds or storylines. It's feeling a tad lazy.

I remember seeing this one when it aired. The day before, there had been an ad for the Radio Times, which had included a clip of Remembrance. The next evening, I made sure I was watching BBC1 at the same time in the hope of seeing it again - and instead got this.

I was VERY hyped! 🤯🤯🤯 #DoctorWho

So just to clarify, #DoctorWho fans are now waiting on news about newly discovered old Who and also news about newly made new Who. 😳

My memories of this are puzzling. On the one hand, I'm sure I saw it in colour and with my family, because I remember talking about the new title sequence. But I also remember watching all of McCoy's era (on transmission) on my portable B&W telly in my room, cos Mum would have been watching Corrie.🤔

If AJ Lee ever does return to the ring, I want that return to be about entirely AJ Lee the wrestler in her own right. Not as Punk's wife, as part of a title feud which is ultimately between two blokes. #WWE #WrestleSky

Choose 25 #DoctorWho episodes that have stayed with you/influenced you. 1/day for 25 (not necessarily consecutive) days.

Well, it's taken over a month but I've made it to #25. And to round things off, let's go with something suitably epic.

24/25 It seems strange now, but back in 2010 I had some doubts about Matt's first season. I'll explain more in the alt, but suffice to say, those concerns were quickly dispelled.

Alt: Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor in his first episode of "Doctor Who", "The Eleventh Hour". So, there was a time when I enjoyed RTD Who. And even the Tenth Doctor. And I'd become so accustomed to the idea of the Doctor being having a more ordinary human persona, when Moffat said in some pre-series 5 interviews that Eleven was going to be a more old-skool/eccentric Doctor, I wasn't very keen on the idea. It took all of about ten minutes of The Eleventh Hour for my fears to not only be completely dispelled, but for me to begin to realise/remember that the Doctor isn't supposed to all broody and grounded and human.

Only 3 to go, and I've just realised I haven't picked any 9, 10, 11, 12 or 15 stories. I guess that makes sense given the context of this "challenge", as I'll explain in the alt text. And in the meantime...

22/25 Cracking on with this after a little hiatus (on brand!🤭)

I've never seen this one (not a fan of the animations), but I've listened to it a lot. And it's a story that pretty much ensured Who's longevity.

21/25 Picking up where I left off (had a busy few day) with another little sidestep. I'm not a huge fan of Big Finish's output (for reasons I'll expand in the alt), but I'm happy they exist. Especially now!

Pretty much an educated guess. It had to be a Moffat episode for obvious reasons, so I went with the first one I could think of where something like that happens. Nailed it!
