Been watching Doctor Who for many years. Thirteen is the Doctoriest Doctor. Also enjoy much other telly/movies. Currently on another attempt to get caught up with all the Skulduggery Pleasant novels. Often partake in a bit of Audible and love the graps.

No plans today, so I thought I'd post a little thread about my Doccy Who journey over the years. As there have been quite a few of them. Kicking off with the earliest photos that I still have of me doing #DoctorWho things; Watching my 'big' Christmas present in 1985. And some Nan knitting!
I only found out about #CorrieDale 10 minutes ago. Out of curiosity, I started watching Corrie.

It soon occurred to me that the novelty of a crossover is significantly diminished if you aren't familiar with most of the characters or their storylines, having not watched either show for 20+ years.

Got up early today to watch new Stranger Things before work (so I wouldn't have to avoid social media/potential spoilers all day).

Really enjoyed it. Just the right balance of reveals, resolutions and anticipation building for the finale. 🙃

Nine Christmas's ago I watched Twice upon a Time, in a near constant state of absolute anticipation. I was sad to see Peter go, but I'd never been so excited to get a first look at the next Doctor in a regeneration story. #DoctorWho

It's on iPlayer. I own the Blu Ray. And the clip's been on YouTube since the day it was broadcast. It's also the #DoctorWho scene I've watched more than any other, having viewed it every day in the gap between Xmas '17 and October '18.

And I still just watched 12's regeneration "live" on YouTube. 🥰

Got a couple of mince pies and some nibbles. All ready to settle down for the big finale tonight.

...of Stranger Things season 4. The culmination of a full series rebinge, ahead of the new eps at Christmas and New Year.

One of a handful of books from my original #DoctorWho collection that somehow survived various boot sales and eBay purges in the 90's and early 00's.

I will continue to hope that this was Rita Arya's 'Capaldi in "The Fires of Pompei" role'. 🤞 #DoctorWho

I haven't been watching The War Between. I didn't have any interest in it from the outset (I don't enjoy much #DoctorWho without Doctor Who), and nothing I've seen online (as I haven't been avoiding spoilers) has suggested I've missed much. No judgement on the quality, of course. I've just seen...

I'm not generally Gold's biggest fan. He's done a few very good stings, like I am the Doctor and Clara's Theme, but otherwise I just find his stuff a bit too "vanilla" for a show like #DoctorWho.

That being said, I love The Shepherd's Boy. All the more so, considering who this version ushered in. ☺️

A #DoctorWho Advent Calendar - Day 2

William Hartnell is amazing during his time in the Tardis, and without his playful performance, the show might have been a minor blip in TV history.

That being said, I'm still of a mind that the Doctor's indefinable "Doctoriness" begins with Patrick Troughton.

A #DoctorWho Advent Calendar - Day 1

I did try and start this a few days early, but between work and Stranger Things, it got away from me. So, let's give it another go.

And behind today's door, let's start with the best Christmas Present the show ever gave me. 🥰 youtu.be/yJqsPBWbtjk?...

A #DoctorWho Adventiversary Calendar; Day 3

Even before my interest in Doctor Who "paused" in the 90's, my VHS collection was already diminishing - 'cos I was replacing them with DVD's. I think I actually recorded over most of them 😮.... and binned the rest! 😵

With one (unintentional) exception...

A #DoctorWho Adventiversary Calendar; Day 2

Heading to a gig at the O2 Brixton this evening, which means travelling light (no backpacks allowed). So no Skulduggery Pleasant Book for the journey (cos hardback).

Instead then, I went with something a little more pocket friendly.

Happy #DoctorWho day to all. I started with Four, became a fan during Five and that grew through the 80's till the wilderness years, when I drifted away. The TVM kept the flame lit and I enjoyed the new series, particularly when Moff took over. Thirteen was/is my Doctoriest Doctor of them all 💕

A #DoctorWho Adventiversary Calendar; Day 1

Originally, I was gonna do an advent calendar'ish Doctor Who post-a-day in December. But then I thought, why not kick things off today instead! No specific theme, just some of my favourite Who things every day till Chrimble. youtu.be/70Myfm2pqZQ?...

It's never too early, if you live in a Tardis. 🎄☺️ #DoctorWho

(Actually, it's never too early in general. Mine went up three weeks ago!)

This was an easy one, cos I love a story with a little Tardis-doing-something-different action. And the scene in that first photo always reminds me of the bus crash/rescue in Delta and the Bannermen! #DoctorWho

8 years ago today, we got our first look at the Thirteenth Doctor's iconic costume.

I loved it from the start, it felt proper old school #DoctorWho to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd been cool with the Doctor dressing normally('ish) since the start of New Who. But this felt so properly Doctory! 🥰

Hi Disney! Now you're saving money from #DoctorWho, how about reversing a recent (and ludicrous) cancellation and give us another series of a show that was 100 times better the last 3 years of Who. #RenegadeNell

Alternatively, hey BBC. Let Sally Wainwright run Who with Louisa Harland as the Doctor!
