Been watching Doctor Who for many years. Thirteen is the Doctoriest Doctor. Also enjoy much other telly/movies. Currently on another attempt to get caught up with all the Skulduggery Pleasant novels. Often partake in a bit of Audible and love the graps.
Bothered how? Like, specifically bothered about something in it? Or just not bothered with it in general? And what's changed, either way?

...why a team that were effortlessly squashed in less than two minutes by Tay Melo and Anna Jay then went on to have a longer and considerably more competitive match with Athena and Billie.

It's certainly possible their appearance on last night's show was due to them helping out on last week's Collision. But it's clear that the match on ROH was always going to be theirs. The ROH taping took place after Collision, hence why Hyan and Maya were already at the event.

That also explains...

You can watching Christmas stuff any time. And the Who specials generally aren't all that Christmassy anyway. I enjoy most of 'em, but they're really just standard stories with varying degrees of Christmas iconography tacked on.

With the obvious exception of "A Christmas Carol".👻

So, yes. Now.

Whilst there doesn't seem to be any suggestion in the article that Lyonne has been pushed (and she still seems to be involved with any potential production going forwards), I just can't get behind a female led genre show (which remain proportionately rare) getting rebooted/continued with a bloke.

Aside from some iffy acting/dialogue, the Twin Dilemma's biggest flaw is the story's conclusion. What it needed was a tangible act of potential self-sacrifice on the Doctor's part, risking his life to save Peri.

Instead, Azmael gives his life and the Doctor's involvement is perfunctory at best.

I just think there's better way for AEW to (understandably) big up their own talent, without making an enormously talented wrestler like Hyan look like a woefully inferior jobber to casual wrestling fans who aren't familiar with her work on the indies. And on that showing, likely never will be. 😔

In the sub-two minute match that took place on Collision, the only offence from Maya and Hyan was a single jawbreaker from Maya, which allowed her to tag in Hyan for the not-even-luke-warm-tag. Hyan was taken out as soon as she entered the ring, and pinned a few moments later.

Invasion aired Christmas 2005. However, 2026 will be the 20th anniversary of series 2, so your point still very much (and inevitably) applies.

The potential stumbling block there is the law of diminishing returns. The more belts Mercedes gains, the more she'll need to lose. And if she does so in a relatively short space of time, or on an outright losing streak, the rub from beating her is gonna be less and less with each subsequent match.

For me, it's all about the payoff. If the endgame is Mercedes losing belt after belt and putting over women across all those promotions, that's awesome.

However, if the impetus is really just "X belts Mercedes", and she'll subsequently just vacate a bunch of titles... that'll be disappointing.

I think the tizzy is all about how she drops them. If the endgame really is Mercedes losing belt after belt to women across all those promotions, then awesome. Job done!

However, if the impetus is only about "X belts Mercedes", and she'll subsequently just vacate a bunch of titles... Then tizzy.

...think the Master works as a main character. At least not, for me. Sure, they're sometimes placed in a temporary anti-hero role (where there's another baddie at odds with their plans), but ultimately there's still gonna be a lot of innocent supporting characters killed, cos it's the Master.

I love the idea of Jacobi as the Master. And if he'd returned to the show in the role, I'd have been all for it.

That said though, I just can't get into his Big Finish stuff. Though that's not specifically his Master, I'm the same with Missy and Sacha's Master. And I love them too. But I don't...
