2024 was another tragic year for the pedestrians of Ann Arbor. And now pedestrians have suffered more fatal and serious crashes in just the first 9 months of 2025 than in any full year since 2014. Read about it in the 2024 Crash Summary and the DamnArbor interview.

Well the fresh updates from #A2Council to the East Medical x Fuller Rd really seems to have failed for #pedestrians and #cyclists ... to nobody's surprise... That's what the #onemorelanebro mentality will get you.

Btw for those that do, feel free to use these pics for advocacy.

Ann Arbor is changing traffic signals so Flashing Yellow Arrows (FYA) don't direct left-turning drivers through crosswalks that peds are using. Huron/Division, where a man was hit on 4/30, hasn't been changed because it doesn't have beg buttons. Turn off FYA until it can be done safely! #a2council

Video footage confirms that the vehicle in the October, 2024 Packard/Arch pedestrian crash did not have headlights on. Think you won't make the same mistake? Don't be so sure--it's a common error. Take a minute to access your vehicle's manual and read about how the headlamp controls work. #a2Council

Thank You #A2Council for strengthening your commitment to Vision Zero. Last night Ann Arbor City Council approved a resolution to align operations and budgets in support of our goals of zero serious injuries and fatalities in traffic crashes and a 50% reduction in VMT. Read the resolution text

At the site of the fatal pedestrian crash of 3/11/25, Plymouth is 73' wide. Picture shows how far a vehicle driving at the speed limits can go in the time it takes a person to walk 73'. Plymouth is too wide and too fast to be safe for pedestrians. Demand Action: Narrower, Slower, Xwalk. #a2council

Ann Arbor's stated goal is zero deaths and serious injuries from traffic crashes by 2025. We're not going to achieve that goal on time. But we can achieve it soon, if we start looking at the causes of the crashes and implementing real fixes. Demand action. #a2council
