one of the greatest human triumphs of my lifetime is the relentless, unceasing, heroic effort by DECADES' worth of doctors and scientists to find a cure for a disease much of the world didn't take seriously for years because it predominantly affected a community they thought kinda deserved it

I just took action with @theactionnetwork.bsky.social about these bills being too damn high. In my experience, cooperatively owned public utilities deliver better service for a better price.

We did it! Avelo Airlines has announced that it will end its deportation contract with ICE due to "financial concerns". DSA chapters across the country worked with allies to kick Avelo out of airports, push for a consumer boycott, raise awareness, and end city contracts with Avelo.
