The Epstein survivors have released a PSA.

These were children.
They were harmed.
The people who did this must be named.

A world that lets powerful men hide behind sealed documents is a world that invites the next monster in.

I think a lot about the preparations the Bridges family must have undertaken to help Ruby tackle her role bravely. What were the emotions they felt as they sent her out that day? I bet fear was right up there alongside pride and determination. All heroes.

Read this, and reflect.
What sort of people are we?
What sort of country do we want for ourselves, our children, to live in?

I know where I stand, and it's not with the Home Secretary
I came to this country as a child refugee. No English, no certainty, no idea what my life could become. Britain gave me refuge.

Not on a timer, not with conditions attached, but with a chance to grow roots.

UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

Your only possible response, when confronted with someone saying this, is to wait for them to finish, firmly state “What the actual fuck is wrong with you?” and leave the interview immediately.

Brutalist buildings are the Marmite of architecture - passionately loved or loathed - and one in Edinburgh was much in the news yesterday when it was announced that plans had been lodged for the demolition and replacement of Argyle House. But while other news sources make much click capital out of it having briefly appeared in some Netflix police show or another, here at Threadinburgh I prefer to get down to the nitty-gritty of the how, why and what of this much critiqued building. And just what it has to do with the Lyceum Theatre, Dalgety Bay and the Water of Leith Walkway...
