Was there today for the H.R. 9495 vote (bill that would have allowed labeling nonprofits as terrorist supporting organizations).
Voted no, of course - but I do want to report that the activism DID work and persuaded members.
I thought it’d be a lonely NO vote, which we take often. It wasn’t.

The only thing I keep coming back to is the if they are going to get rid of diversity and inclusion initiatives then we need to really work on diversity and inclusion in our own communities. Celebrate diversity and focus on including those that are often excluded in any way you can. ❤️

This is why I watch a lot of Hallmark movies
having a great time trying to find a movie to watch that's not too depressing but also not too silly, and not too clever but also still engaging enough, and ideally under two hours but with a proper plot, and obviously not violent or scary or political, really just having the best time

LRS: get a library card. Librarians are equipped with resources to help get you what you need. I walked people through burying relatives in Arlington, getting paperwork done for COVID shots, and finding someone to talk to during terrible times. In hard times, you want the resources in your pocket.

I’ve been up all night panicking. I’m so scared we’re heading into a dictatorship. I’m scared that this was our last election. I’m scared so many people are about to lose all their rights. I need someone to tell me it’s going to be okay.
