So I read the whole interview with the Roblox CEO and it was brutal. On two levels, really. The one level where they are asking totally valid and important questions on keeping child users of Roblox safe and he has no good answers for them with any substance behind them.

re: roblox dude's interview crashout. the thing he wants to say but can't is "at scale, kids are gonna get hurt. that is the price for scale." the thing nobody wants to say out loud is "maybe scaling to a level where harm isn't manageable is bad, and scale should be contained"

Trump is literally calling for specific people who oppose him to be put to death.
For saying members of the military should not obey orders that go against the law.

The crime of genocide didn't exist until after WW2. It was something we decided was real, needed to be identified and punished. Even if we've been spectacularly bad at putting it in practise, we conceptualised it.

Breaking News: A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to continue paying for food stamps during the government shutdown. SNAP, which aids 42 million people, was set to run out of funds on Saturday without intervention.
The more I listen to Electric Nebraska, the more I enjoy it. It's unfinished--if they had stuck with it, there would have been more overdubs and embellishments and whatnot, and I think it would have been terrific. As it is, it's still actually good stuff.

Finished the new season of Slow Horses on the way to work this morning. It is definitely my favorite show currently in production. Every season is amazing, and this one was no exception. I am also almost done reading the first novel and loving that as well.

Finished the I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy-quel and… it was a bad movie. This series is a terrible fit for a legacy sequel. Hell, it’s a pretty bad fit for a normal sequel. But yeah. No good.

Watching the I Know What You Did Last Summer re-quel. I am about a half hour in and so far I am baffled as to how they are going to make this work without it being the most coincidental coincidence in coincidence history.
