This fall I participated in the 2024 World Archaeology Symposium in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. AlUla is an expansive oasis community, and the site of thousands of cultural heritage sites. I helped lead a workshop on the subject of marginalized communities losing and regaining cultural heritage agency.

This fall I participated in the 2024 World Archaeology Symposium in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. AlUla is an expansive oasis community, and the site of thousands of cultural heritage sites. I helped lead a workshop on the subject of marginalized communities losing and regaining cultural heritage agency.
I'm excited to share this new study from some wonderful colleagues in Azerbaijan. The cultural record of the region is finally gaining international recognition.
