So weird seeing people who are younger and more skilled/developed than you being like "I'm washed" meanwhile I'm an unemployed burnout living with her parents who wasted their early 20s on a degree for an industry that is being killed

I did a lineart study of one of my favourite artists, Tom Bloom, today. Wanted to see if I could figure out the sauce to his lines, which I think is definitely in part because he doesn't conform to "there is only one type of good linework" that was drilled into me by uni.

Honestly bands like AVRALIZE, Bilmuri and Paledusk are some of the biggest influences on my creativity right now - mixing and matching things from across music while still keeping the harsh metalcore sound I like. I want to try and capture that experimental style with my own work.

I think "liminal" by AVRALIZE is my album of 2025. I know people weren't hot on how some of it was transitional tracks (even though there are only 4 out of the 14 tracks), but imo it's just banger after banger with killer production.
