'Wild Thyme Farm,' (c1925) typifies a series of downland landscapes painted by Isobel Codrington on the estate surrounding her home at Wistler's Wood in Surrey. Rolling hills lit from the left, casting long shadows, convey the atmosphere of early morning or late afternoon.

Morning ☕🛋

Booby discourse, booby discourse never changes. Self-flagelation.

( Reminder that I ought to put Nussbaums objectification, right down to Immanual Kant 🛋📝 )
i really like that shaun stellar blade video, cus it really highlights how irrelevant sexy lady video game discourse is. like the issue was always in how exclusive and assumed the male gaze was, and it turns out that absent of that issue, stellar blade just isn't that noteworthy

After WW1, William Nicholson concentrated on still life work especially in the depiction of lustrous surfaces - these allowed him to experiment with reflections of light and shadow and to investigate volume and space, as here with 'The Marquess of Wellington Jug,' from 1920.

This interior belongs to a small group of paintings in which Adolph Menzel studied the effects of light in simply furnished spaces he occupied in Berlin between 1845 and 1851 - he considered them experiments and never exhibited them.
