Our kids are struggling, and teachers are sounding the alarm—they can’t do this alone.

Every student deserves access to support that helps them succeed not just academically, but emotionally and mentally too. This isn’t just about school—it’s about saving lives.
“If a child falls and breaks an arm, there’s a policy, there’s help available. Mental health is very different," said state Rep. Megan Cotter. "We need to give children the tools to succeed and be successful adults.”
Crisis in the classroom: Lawmakers push for more mental health resources in schools
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and educators are continuing to warn of a sharp rise in students’ mental health struggles in the classroom.

Protecting Those Who Step Up When Crisis Strikes
When disaster hits—whether it’s a hurricane, flood, or fire—we all count on a special kind of person to show up: the ones who run toward danger while the rest of us seek shelter.

When I took on the utility companies in Rhode Island by introducing a cap on their profits, I knew it was the right thing for Rhode Islanders—and now, it’s catching on nationwide.

Rhode Island Energy will use the excuse that green energy is the problem.

Don’t be fooled.

Corporate fat cats wanting to line their pockets at YOUR expense.

Where have we seen that before?

Wages for the top 1% have skyrocketed while working families struggle to keep up. Yet, RI still relies on regressive taxes that hit the bottom 90% the hardest. It’s time for a tax system that works for everyone, not just the wealthy. #FairTax
The wages of the richest 1% have skyrocketed 182% since 1979.

Meanwhile, the wages of the bottom 90% have seen just 44% growth.

Trickle down economics was always a hoax.
