With Trump starting a global trade war, the government must look to Europe as a more reliable partner to boost creative business in the UK
The Conservatives’ botched Brexit deal has done immense damage to our cultural, recreational and sporting sectors. We know that a new UK-EU customs union would go a long way to fixing this, but the new government is refusing to even assess the benefits.

Living and working in the Cotswolds, I'm passionate about seeing our countryside flourish. The £4.5 million investment in sustainable farming practices since 2022 is a significant step towards that goal. @cotswoldsnl.bsky.social

“Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight” as the saying goes. It’s always a treat to witness those vibrant colors painting the sky.

As the days are getting longer, ever so slowly. It’s a welcome sign, isn’t it? A little reminder that spring is on its way.

Today, I joined Cllr Richard Stanley at the Pre-Festival Councillors Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to discuss crucial aspects of the March festival, including public safety, traffic management, & community engagement.

Even though today's weather might not be as bright, here's a photo I took a few weeks ago of a beautiful blue sky, a long road, and the stunning Cotswolds scenery. It's a reminder of the beauty that awaits on my daily commute. ☀️ #Cotswolds #DailyCommute #BeautifulScenery

⚠️ This digital divide impacts learning, with rural schools disproportionately affected. Slow speeds hinder online resources, collaboration, and access to the digital world.

A lovely January morning with a hint of golden sunshine. Mist hangs heavy over the fields, the timber gate a silent invitation.

If I had the opportunity I’d like to head off to explore what lies beyond the gate!

What does the day hold for you?

Britain needs a stronger deal with the EU, like a new Customs Union, to protect our economy and ensure we deal with them from a position of strength. #Trade #EU #CustomsUnion www.facebook.com/share/v/1Gng...

Journey through the Cotswold landscape with light snowfall and icy roads. From morning till sunset the journey was a delicate dance between beauty and peril. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the frozen landscape, the journey became a memory etched in winter’s embrace.

No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want…
But if you try sometime you'll find
You get what you need 🎶
Two rules in life.

You don't get what you want if you don't know what you want.

And...

You don't get what you want if you don't ask for it.
Exactly what the UK government wants from the EU is much harder to discern, however to the irritation of Brussels & pro-EU Labour MPs. “There is a real risk that we can miss opportunities because we’re not being clear about what we want,” warns Stella Creasy, chair of the Labour Movement for Europe.
