I think it's better to estimate how old they all are not in the physical sense but in the emotional sense. I couldn't confidently tell you how physically old bugs bunny is but in the purely emotional sense? like 28? when it's cartoon furries who don't follow the rules it's borderline semantic though
someone asked if I see Sonic characters as kids. I mean, no. mostly no. most of them I'd classify as "Ambiguously Aged But Probably In Late Teens" while Tails, Cream, Charmy and Sage are definitely child-aged. I only perceive Shadow as younger in emotional maturity bc Maria was the "older one"

you know what I like about these old shadow-focused amvs? the creators still found ways to shove sonic in them. no matter how serious the mood, there have to be some clips of sonic butting his way in and fighting shadow or something. like a fuckin intrusive thought.
