Regarding the Stargate return news, it took me until MANY years after my mum's death to realise just how pivotal she was in getting me into sci fi. TNG, DS9, Farscape and indeed Stargate were on the TV growing up and I never knew until after she died just how much she loved the shows.

Regarding the Stargate return news, it took me until MANY years after my mum's death to realise just how pivotal she was in getting me into sci fi. TNG, DS9, Farscape and indeed Stargate were on the TV growing up and I never knew until after she died just how much she loved the shows.
I mean... I was bizarrely close to the truth with this one! 😆

I still think ANET didn't have to go half as hard as they did with the Starlit Weald meta, even down to the platform dipping below the magic water line to reveal the chests at the end 🥲

I don't quote post a lot but stuff like this infuriates me. AI can have a place in game development and that's if it takes the pressure off of devs rather than replacing them.

Interested in checking it out but the video shows pretty simple single player combat so I'm a little hesitant.
Oh and it's time to fess up: Never played a Horizon game :/ One(two) of those that I have just never gotten around to playing but hope to soon. Along with GoW... damn I'm behind the times!

Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced Horizon Steel Frontiers, an MMORPG set in the Horizon universe, developed by NCSoft.
It is currently slated for mobile and PC. No mention is made of a PlayStation release.

When they announced Wednesday I was intrigued but I never imagined I'd be saying that it has some of the best storytelling I've ever seen from a series. The way seemingly random characters and events come together at random intervals, those larger threads later merging is... masterful.

So it'll be a little bit before I jump into GW2 Homesteads but it's already super clear that the game needs more natural set pieces 😔
Hills, slopes, caves, tunnels, valleys, waterfalls etc each with variants for rock types coverings (grass/moss etc). I'd also like to see more flooring and walls.

The fact that the BBC resignations due to impartiality are in part due to covering trans issues too positively just baffles me. I stopped using the BBC News site as they kept platforming bigots like Linehan and JK.

Seeing @austinup.bsky.social's VoE review and not being able to watch it (as I'm not caught up with the story as yet) is frustrating but for anyone well versed with the Skill Up channel seeing the word 'strongly' in the title is a VERY positive sign!

Seeing @austinup.bsky.social's VoE review and not being able to watch it (as I'm not caught up with the story as yet) is frustrating but for anyone well versed with the Skill Up channel seeing the word 'strongly' in the title is a VERY positive sign!
Played a little more VoE today but not as much as I'd have liked after a long work day and spending bloody hours trying to get paint stripper off of a wall hanging decoration. Horrible stuff.
