Uh, I have to use a VPN for work to access some files. I also always use one in hotels etc on my personal devices. My phone comes with a free VPN built in.

The forum I used to frequent had the world's greatest filter. It changed "fucking" to "fuck*ng" and I love that bit so much. I sometimes still type it that way.

The 30 Rock episode with “how do you do, fellow kids?” is closer to the release of Windows 98 than it is to today.
I made a “how do you do, fellow kids?” joke to someone in their mid 20s who, it turns out, was too young to have heard of that meme.
So “how do you do, fellow kids?” is now an example of “how do you do, fellow kids?”

I'm glad I don't see this nearly as often as other word crimes like "an historic" or "copyedit"
The more I see people using "casted" instead of "cast" the more I realize that I am a grumpy old fart who only wants to see the language evolve in my preferred directions, nevertheless I will happily judge you for it if I catch you doing it, look, my dude, the accepted past tense is shorter okay

I got my covid and flu shots yesterday. Arm was a bit sore today and towards the afternoon I had a mild headache and blah feeling but that's it. Taking off the bandages was the worst part.
