This image is the iconic cover art for the third studio album by American rapper Nas, titled I Am..., released on April 6, 1999. Visual Composition The artwork features a striking, stylized portrait of Nas’s face rendered as a gold sarcophagus-style mask. The Mask: The mask mimics the appearance of ancient Egyptian royalty, specifically intended to resemble King Tutankhamun. It is cast in polished gold with dark, recessed lines on the headpiece and realistic facial features that match Nas’s own, including his mustache and soul patch. Typography: The artist's name, "Nas," appears in the top right in a large, textured gold font with a drop shadow.
