The Pentagon just booted CNN, WaPo, and NPR—replacing them with Newsmax, OANN, and The Daily Caller. This isn’t about “rotation,” it’s about control. When the government handpicks its media, it’s not journalism—it’s propaganda. Pay attention.

The U.S. Air Force will resume teaching about the nation's first Black pilots and the women pilots of World War II. This followed widespread public outcry over their earlier decision to stop teaching about the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASPs.

President Trump's DOE has made themselves clear: they will support book banners in their efforts to strip our institutions of learning of the books that define them.

So let us be perfectly clear: we're going to do whatever we can to try and stop them.

This is how you say “go fuck yourself sideways with a porcupine” in inspector general speak.

Going to be interesting to see how the administration responds

Hegspeth is confirmed. Now What? He has no idea how to manage the Pentagon. So he is going to be dependent on his direct reports. Most of which require confirmation.

The Dems have to use whatever political skills they have to get qualified, rational people in these positions ?

Suggestions ?

The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. We worked for decades to have them remembered. The Airmen too. Knowledge is power. 🗃️ www.msn.com/en-us/societ...

Cultivating a Relationship With Mystery
When I engage in spiritual direction, both as the seeker and as the director, I feel like we are putting a signal out for Mystery. Mystery? Just as you are thinking about a creative approach to a job solution at work, the phone rings, and it’s a colleague wondering whether a certain approach would solve the problem. It’s the same idea you were toying with.

Spiritual Direction and Self-Care
For over twenty years, I have maintained a friendship with a fellow teacher that I met at a conference early in my career. We live on opposite ends of the country. We have shared teaching philosophies and practices by the truckloads over the years. But, mostly, we have become friends, and for those two decades and counting, we text and call each other, “just to check in.” Those check-ins have included all kinds of conversation about our lives from relationships, to money, to personal struggles to what we are going to do with our holidays.

What does it mean?

What does it mean?
We have an experience. This experience could be anything. Maybe a strange dream from the night before that we cannot shake. Maybe an unexpected turn in a relationship, our health, or the workplace. Maybe a feeling or a set of feelings that we cannot account for. Maybe a longing or desire or need that wants our attention. Having a person as my spiritual director means that I have a person, a time and a place where I can go and ask the question of any of these things and more: what does it mean?

Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved.

We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.
