HMRC denies running a "deliberately poor" phone service to push taxpayers to seek help online instead.

44,000 customers cut off without warning after being on hold for 70 minutes last yr, even worse now.

So, wrong taxes paid, little people prosecuted and fined.

Today's sentencing hearing will be simple. Judge Merchan will declare Trump's sentence is to be held in abatement, which means he will not serve time for his crimes, but the conviction will stand and he will remain a convicted felon with the conviction on his record.

Did I say convicted enough?

I see three distinct phases. Pre-Fox, when opinion was diverse but actual facts were indisputable.
Fox/Trump, where objective truth was subjected to the false equivalence of ‘alternative facts’ (ie lies).
And now, where media & tech platform owners collude with him to drown out the truth altogether.

Says a lot about UK media bubble, the way this story is reported.

You pay VAT on luxuries. Private schooling is that.

If it takes 10 years to rejoin the EU, then if we start today, we'll be back in 10 years. But if we wait a decade, it will take 20 years.

Except that it won't, because we will have had 10 more years of diverging. So it might take a quarter of a century.

Start today please. We owe it to the future.
