There is a war between the ones who say there is a war and the ones who say that there isn't. Why don't you come on back to the war? That's right, get in it

It would be cool if all this bullshit cause a neat analog tech counter culture. CRTpunk
Now you've got me thinking about making a mexi-inspired shepherd's pie 🤔

Does that mean you made a 6 layer dip? Or did you substitute guac for something else? Creamed corn perhaps?

Private care puts profits before people, but it doesn't have to be this way. Manitoba stepped up when for-profit operators failed. Ottawa can too. Nationalize long-term care, starting with the chain the federal government essentially already owns.

If an intelligent civilization existed on another planet and we were trying to find incidental evidence the odds are high they would encrypt signals and obscure any traces. But IF they were trying to make contact with us it seems unlikely they would use encryption.

Damn, that sounds great. I also saw Jazzmine's across from the Value Village on Keele has a $5 lunch special, but I can't vouch for what you get.

Someone should publish a compendium of how many steps from track to surface for each underground station. That tunnel is deep! When I reached street level at Mt Pleasant today my thighs were burning, lol!

Not complaining though, I'm happy it's finally in service!

After having ridden the Eglinton Crosstown LRT on its opening day today, I wrote some more detailed thoughts on my blog. It's a lot more successful than the Finch West LRT, while I encourage you to visit local businesses along the line. #TTC #TOpoli #ONpoli www.twowheeledpolitics.ca/2026/02/welc...

Stéphane Dion warns Alberta separatism is “blackmail.” So whose interests are really being served here? Alberta’s or the U.S.’s? As UCP/CPC politics drift closer to MAGA, can Canadians still trust Conservatives to put Canada first? CBC is asking the hard questions.

Beautiful. I've never been to northern Italy but for a moment I thought I was looking at a place I knew.

Canada might do well to pass a law saying no person may be employed by the government of another country to operate on Canadian soil except as part of an approved diplomatic mission. That would also criminalize CCCP 'police stations', US customs clearance at yyz, and others.

Liberals will ignore the entire past century of anticommunist activities they’ve been engaged in and be like, “How can you be so hostile to your allies?” 😭 Not sure if you assholes have noticed, but this country is in deep shit because socialists have repeatedly trusted you and been betrayed!

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.
