My vtuber lore has 5 AUs so far. The canon is a pretty reasonably standard fantasy world, but there's also:
- Supernatural Fantasy Western AU
- Bad Ending (Canon Divergent, same world as canon)
- Superhero AU
- Cyberfantasy AU (same timeline as canon, ~2000 years later)
- Post Magical Girl AU

Played a bit of this, and the combat is very interesting. No random encounters, but beating enemies in certain ways leads to more abilities. Very fun/interesting turn-based Metroidvania.
