Me booting up my Nintendo Switch 2 for a quick round of Donkey Kong Bananza before my mates and I drop into an active warzone and conduct several breaches of the Geneva Conventions.

RE: Half-Life 3. I think Half-Life 1 and 2 rule. I think Alyx rules. I think Alyx is worse than Half-Life 1 and 2 in some areas, namely tone of writing and very much the soundtrack, but it still rules. I think people who feel hype/expectations for Half-Life 3 are proportional to time are very dumb.

The Steam Machine does not exist to go head-to-head with Xbox/PlayStation highest end hardware power. It offers a small form, simplified, accessible PC, and provide access to the largest library of games on the planet. If you feel yourself saying "But I already have..." you are not the market.

Seeing a bunch of Pluribus takes from 18 - 20yo terminally online hammer-and-sickle-in-bio communists, accusing it of being anti communist Hollywood propaganda, and I too remember being very politically motivated but also dumb as fucking shit. It's a well meaning but rough age.

Once they hit ~30 - 35 we should mandate 'retirement' for Call of Duty streamers, ethically euthanise them, and study their brains to work out why they are the way they are.

I have it on VERY good authority that over the last 10+ years Valve have been secretly distributing what they're calling "cerebral code", using subtle arrangements of pixels, precise image flicker, and specific Steam storefront wording to "install" Half-Life 3 directly into your brain.

This is completely fucking insane. Trialling children as adults in adult courts, held to adult expectations alongside adult punishments, is a grotesque bastardisation of human rights. It is an authoritarianist form of unjust punity. It's in the fucking name. CHILDREN punished as ADULTS.

Battlefield maps with more open and diverse play space, and longer (though not too long) stretches of terrain between capture points, come with the additional benefit of gun balance ensuring projectile velocity, bullet dispersion, recoil control, bullet drop, etc, have to actually be accounted for.

I think the incestuous nature of Video Game Community Culture, wherein the lines sometimes blur between developer, journalist, streamer, and 'popular online personality with industry connections', can lead to a very human but nevertheless reductive bias and fear towards stating some things sucks.
