Gonna be honest, for me personally, the Switch 2 is a dud. Feels solid and sturdy and I am inherently self restricted in software by only buying exclusives that appeal to me, but half a year in nothing yet has captured my love and I'm not looking forward to anything either. I should have waited.

I see Nvidia are doing a bunch of CES talks. Just remember the thumb rule; any and every performance graph peddled by Nvidia is based exclusively on willfully manipulative data distorted by frame generation and upscaling. They make conscious effort to inlcude false equivalency comparisons.

I generally try to avoid yearly retrospectives and new year resolutions and all that shit, as I'm more attracted to the fluidity of time and not its compartmentalisation, but 2025 was pretty fucking ass and I am comfortable with the illusionary "new start" that is 2026.

Unsurprisingly, the armour plate system in BF6's BR mode is the bane of my existence. Magical, randomised health boosts that you may have or may not have erode any sense of tension or fun out of gunfights because who fucking knows who has what. They exists as a crutch and they SUCK.

Flight Simulator's lighting engine makes excellent use of both natural and artificial lights as convincingly real sources of luminance. Comes with the benefit of middle-of-nowhere wilderness, at night, capturing a pretty terrifyingly convincing darkness.
