US confirming EU carve out on pharma and chips probes under 232. So EU tariffs stay at 15% as reported
There's been some confusion about how the EU deal covers pharmaceuticals and semiconductors. The EU has negotiated a carveout, a White House official confirms to me. When 232 investigations on pharma and semis come into effect, the EU tariff will still be 15%, even if others' tariff rates rise.
