I’ve always considered these inter ferias days to be ones of introspection. Contemplating the year past and anticipating the one to come. Or contemplating nothing at all and giving that small, anxious beast in my mind a chance to rest for once.

Apparently I'm doing this -- my open letter to that open latter about AI in writing and publishing. I emerged from Hibernation Week to write it, so god only knows how much sense it makes. But at least a human wrote it, so that's nice.

I avoid smokers as much as possible (and I advise my daughters to as well). Because if someone can’t respect their own body, how can they respect others.
Likewise with people who use ai/llms. If you choose to rot your brain, I will not associate with you.
