“ChatGPT, who should I vote for?” is going to be a very real nightmare very, very soon.
everything I read about AI tells me that regardless of how it develops I need to avoid using it in order to preserve my ability to think independently

Thinking about the Cave of Hands, some of the art dating back to 7,300BC, where 25% of the hand prints are thought to be that of children. Imagining those people gently holding their child up to the cave walls, and using their tiny little hands as a stencil. Art = love = the human soul

It’s such a harmful Christian theology that looks at wars and famine and says, “this might be the fulfillment of End Times prophecies!” and “Jesus might be retuning soon!” instead of “look at how much people are suffering!” and “how can we stop this injustice?”

Earlier today, I ate some mulberries from trees I planted six years ago. I watched birds eating from these same trees.

Often it takes years to understand the magic of something that seemed mundane in the moment. Digging a few holes. Planting a few seedlings. Trusting to time, nature, and intention.

the world is abundant
the abundance is suffocated
(Reuters) - Food rations that could supply 3.5 million people for a month are mouldering in warehouses around the world because of U.S. aid cuts and risk becoming unusable, according to five people familiar with the situation.

Exclusive: US aid cuts leave food for millions mouldering in storage
The food stocks have been stuck inside four U.S. government warehouses since the Trump administration's decision in January to cut global aid programs.
