Money is the root of all evil.
The more ammunition that can fit into a gun’s magazine, the more a person can shoot without interruption. In mass shootings, this makes it harder for people to escape.

Newly surfaced records show the breadth of the gun industry’s effort to use high-capacity magazines to turn a profit.
Newly Obtained Documents Show How Gun Manufacturers Swamped the Market With Large-Capacity Magazines
At least 717 million devices like the one used in the Brown University mass shooting have been produced and distributed during a 30-year period, including a decade when they were banned.

Let’s be clear: the Brown shooter wasn’t trans, wasn’t hunting Jews or conservatives, and it certainly wasn’t the Muslim Palestinian student Brown briefly erased from its site. Those were conspiracies, boosted by prominent right-wing accounts, and they caused real harm.

Trump calls Somali immigrants “garbage.” His VP cheers him on. Meanwhile, families are being torn apart, asylum is being shut down, aid is being gutted, and the military is firing on survivors in the water.

Cruelty is becoming national policy—silence is complicity.
