Once at a conference a participant was interviewed and asked what book they had most recently read. The participant said he didn’t know the title but remembered it being good. The interviewer could’ve moved on but asked what the book was about. His answer was essentially “books … are important.”
I met Justice Thomas once and when he found out what I did he said “ah yes, history … is important” and then immediately pivoted away, ending the exchange without another word.

Pretty sure that was the depth of his knowledge

Look, #skystorians. I know it's a big ask to talk about your mistakes in the AHR. Yet we've all made them. Don't you want to submit a proposal to this special issue? 🗃️
