We took a very interesting road trip in California last week with cousin Mike and Barbara. Weather was very Irish but it didn't take from the day. Old Faithful geyser (the CA one, not Yellowstone), giant redwoods, and film locations from The Birds and The Goonies.

New record for Irish rugby appearances for Cian Healy today! Met him in Johannesburg airport as both Munster and Leinster made their way home from away matches in SA in April. Lovely guy...except when he's playing against Munster!

Surprised at the omission of Jack Crowley from the starting 15. Prendergast is a fine player but what has he done to put himself at no. 1? You could possibly argue Casey over Gibson-Park in the same vein.

Dear Santa: When I was a child, my father cheated on my Mom. Later, my parents divorced. Soon after, my mother died in a car accident My brother and I could only live in my grandma's old house. Grandma's sister was an alcoholic. The whole family lived on my grandma's savings. Grandma recently died. My Uncle Andy is barely keeping himself out of jail from day to day. My brother left home and won't talk to us any more. Dad, now 74, had to go out to work to support the family and eventually he is going to want me to do the same thing. Yours sincerely.
