What I love about this and other Enterprise upside-down images is that it could have been this way. This orientation obviously doesn’t work as well — where is the bridge? — but no one knew that on first viewing of a photo.

How did NBC promote its new show #StarTrek? This Advance Information booklet delivered an enticing overview and some great photos, but also promised cheap coffee onboard and did its best to ruin the Spock appeal.

We also learn in this scene that there’s a clock on the ceiling of the bridge.
Spock’s Brain is not a good episode (although it’s not as bad as is often claimed), but one thing I like about it is the moment when Kirk discusses which planet to explore and seeks input from Sulu, Chekov (and Uhura). It’s an unusual moment in the series, without the presence or Spock or McCoy.

Imagine my surprise when I noticed that the people on Eminiar VII also serve colourful food cubes as little snacks to the Enterprise landing party in #StarTrekTOS' "A Taste of Armageddon". A clear case of Hodgkin's Law of Parallel Planetary Development! :-)

#StarTrekTOS' "The Man Trap" is the first episode in which we see the colourful food cubes which appear in many later episodes. Notice how the bowl of cubes ⬆️ (on a small plate) is suddenly a large plate of cubes in the close-up ⬇️. All the blue cubes are also suddenly gone in the close-up... ;-)
