Why do a lot of football commentators/reporters pronounce Nottingham Forest as NODDINGHAM Forest? I know Alan Partridge is with me on this - it’s the behaviour of a DOSSER and a DWAD.

10km run earlier this morning and have avoided catching the earlier train to Annan. New Years’ resolutions finally being observed. That said, looking forward to a few beers later on before Annan v Clyde. Hopefully no repeat of September’s scudding.

What a decade it’s been under Clive. A football club reborn, galvanised and unrecognisable from the one that went down with a whimper to non league in 2011. Glad to hear he’s staying on, and if Ron Fowler does half the job Clive did, we’ll be in good hands. #imps

Not normally for sitting down to watch an EPL full 90 minutes, but for some reason I decided to watch Newcastle v Leeds. Very glad I did! I haven’t seen a Premier League game that entertaining for years.

Used Bluesky on and off for just over a year now. Follow a lot of football fans of a variety of clubs north and south of the border, and the one thing I’m most pleased about is that I’ve not seen a single post using the term “limbs”. Incredibly refreshing.

For the first time in my career, my works Christmas do is on my birthday. Heading all the way to London for it on Friday morning. Drinks and meal in Covent Garden Friday evening. Straight to Galabank from Euston on Saturday morning for Annan v Spartans.
