I’m deeply disturbed by the news that Rep. Cecil Brockman has been charged with indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape. These allegations are unconscionable and incompatible with public service. He should resign immediately. No one is above the law.

Can’t staff our prisons? Cut the jobs.
Can’t open psych beds? Cut those too.
Can’t pay enough to fill vacancies? Just pretend we don’t need them.

Then stash $1.1 billion in a rainy day fund like it’s not already pouring in half the state.

This is the House budget. #ncpol

🚨The House GOP budget proposes Medicaid work requirements—

because clearly, the problem with our healthcare system is that sick people just aren’t hustling hard enough.

If you’re too poor or two unwell to afford care, don’t worry…
Just bootstrap your way into eligibility. #ncpol

Not layoffs—just erasing unfilled & poorly funded rolls that were already vacant…

So instead of funding & filling them, Republicans are just deleting them.

Cool. Cool cool cool.

Imagine being so “fiscally responsible” that you cut public school transportation….
But stash billions and savings.

That’s not budgeting—that’s hoarding.

Next up: NCGOP lawmakers start clipping coupons for billionaires. #ncpol

BREAKING: NC House Republicans to bravely cancel DEI
Because nothing screams freedom like government-mandated ignorance.
They scream about indoctrination—while passing laws to control who can teach and what they can say.
I’m voting NO on HB 171.
It’s ALL about control. #ncpol

The House GOP voted moments ago for HB 318 to let politicians play border patrol on Facebook while ignoring actual crime, underfunded sheriffs, and broken rural infrastructure. But hey—tough tweets cost less than real solutions. #ncpol apnews.com/article/immi...

Today, we mourn the passing of President Jimmy Carter, a man of faith, compassion, and unyielding service. From the White House to Habitat for Humanity, he dedicated his life to peace, human rights, and helping others. May we honor his legacy of kindness and humility.

The NC State Board of Elections did the right thing today by rejecting Rep. Sossamon’s baseless election protests, protecting the votes of Granville & Vance Co. Every vote matters, and I’m grateful to see the SBOE standing up for our democracy. Let’s move forward. #ncpol
