Also, Melbourne security is easy as.

Wish Brisbane had the same easy security, just dump stuff on trays, go through scanner, collect stuff… no need to unpack everything (laptop, cables, etc…)

Yes I know pack everything but the kitchen sink… it’s a habit of mine. 😅

Gonna be honest, taking some trips away from home (ie. PAX AUS) were both stressful AF and great. Coming down to Melbourne was really stressful due to missing the first flight (double fuck up on my end).

With that said, met up with streamer friends and had a blast so that cancelled out the stress.

After being reported that 30% of Windows 11 was written by "AI", adoption plummets and Windows 10 once again has the greater market share.

Windows 11's market share plummets as Windows 10 surges
Microsoft is unlikely to be thrilled as Windows 10 once again gains market share while Windows 11 plummets.

Always a good sign when you come home and find the side door not properly closed and the back door open… because parents seem to have forgotten to check it all before heading out. 😬

Turned a telegram bot against its owner because I found the tokens hidden in a phishing website fishing for Telstra login details. After having some fun, the bot got blocked by the scammer.

Sorry for ruining your phishing scam, mate but time for you to go touch some grass. 🙂

Fun little trivia: Back when I was younger, I had an idea of a private, spam free email service similar to Gmail/Hotmail at the time but without the privacy scares.

I had plans to put that very service into motion but they didn’t bear fruit. Sometimes I wish it did, with client ISP email crap.

Wrote about the whole #windows 10 End of Support thing happening in October 2025. If you convert your existing install to a LTSC version of Windows, or use TSForge, you can extend support until 2029/2032 - something other websites fail to explain.

Windows 10 End of Support: Oct 2025
Microsoft can't and will not stop shilling the crap out of Windows 11. Is Windows 10 end of support really that bad? Let's find out.

First game to test on the Orion O6 with the ARM Immortalis GPU boots up and has acceptable performance!

However, in WINE's X11 mode, the game is unstable. In Wayland mode, the game performs better until eventually it hangs on the menu when non-focused. I suspect probably some queue dead/spin lock.

Dinner, butter chicken with some mixed veggies added in. I served it with some rice and it was delicious.

It finally arrived. Months in logistical hell, the Raxda Orion O6 ARM MiniPC has arrived. Even came in a very nice transparent acrylic case!

Very impressed with its presentation. Time to prep and boot it.

Radxa ROCK 5 ITX. Rockchip based, 8 Cores, 16GB Memory. Note that the WiFi module and SSD didn’t come with the board; I had them on hand.

Lots of IO: USB-C, HDMI In, 2 Gigabit LAN, 2 HDMI Out, 4 USB 3.0, header for a front USB 2.0, Audio IO… crazy.

One of the ARM MiniITX boards arrived, the second is on its way from Hong Kong from Logistics Hell.

They’ll be fun toys and be more useful than the SBC ARM boards for specific uses.

I'm fixing #gamedev shit I broke at 3AM.

Working with an Orange Pi Zero 2W again and finally got the 40 Pin expansion header installed.

However, pin 3 of the top row (see blue wire connector) did not like being soldered even with flux. Lead free solder worked?!

I suck at soldering and end up with solder pearls but it’s a hobby project.

Sigh. I want to do some game dev, but I’m a cog in the family machine trying to keep everything spinning.

Mum’s still plateau with her depression/bipolar. Dad’s been hit with random stomach sickness and feels sick again.

Sorry to sound gloomy but just gotta get this off my chest. 🫩

Winter sucks.

Feeling really deflated, I think sleep quality has been shit due to the cold winter weather and stress from variety of sources has been the main contributors.

Brains are bloody weird contraptions…

Just watched someone shoplift 2 more bottles of milk in front of Woolies staff after one bottle was leaky. When confronted, they argued and stormed out the front doors with them.

What a idiot. Security got pinged and they talked to the staff member that dealt with the incident.

Would the spam callers please kindly piss off and stop calling me? If you’re not going to leave a voicemail then sorry, you’re not going to get a call back…

Sigh, spam callers around tax time…

Deployed a SMTP honeypot to see why my development got server is getting probed…

Except the honey pot doesn’t emulate user login stuff so the probes just get a command not understood response. 😑

I’ll Frankenstein something in NET Core myself.
