It’s wild how European leaders are wringing their hands about a US invasion of Greenland being a violation of international law when just the other day they stood aside or even cheered as the US invaded Venezuela in violation of international law.

Several European states allowed Netanyahu’s plane to enter their airspace without honouring their obligation to arrest him under international law. These jokers think they can have it both ways.

While Trump would have probably renounced international law anyway, I think it's fair to say that Biden paved the way through his attacks on the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, various UN agencies, and other efforts to hold Israel accountable for its violations.

Murdering a nonviolent protester leaving the scene of a potential confrontation and having the government call it "self-defense" and claiming the victim was a "terrorist" is what the Israeli government, with bipartisan support, has been doing for decades.

Palestinian children are being starved to death and killed by bombs in their tents. It must stop now.

We urgently need international action to protect children & families now. We cannot fail them❤️

If the Palestine Action hunger strikers die - which they could do at any moment, as they are now very close to the end - it will be the government that killed them. Today’s column explains why. Please share, and write urgently to your MP.

Let’s be clear: if the Palestine Action hunger strikers die, the government will bear moral responsibility | George Monbiot
The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Not sure about a hundred, but in 1985 the Philadelphia police dropped a bomb on MOVE, a Black community, and killed eleven. Police were also central to the 1921 Tulsa massacre, where a white mob killed from 50 to 300 Black people. The Texas Rangers killed 15 unarmed Mexican American men in 1918.
in how many "law enforcement operations" are damn near 100 people killed?

The 3rd of January 2026 will go down in history as a seminal moment - the death of the international order that has held the world together for 80 years.

Through their cowardice, our European leaders were willing accomplices in its destruction. We should never forget that.
International law died yesterday. And Europe helped kill it.
Macron, Starmer and Meloni gave their stamp of approval to Trump's illegal invasion of Venezuela to run the country and take its oil. Who can take them seriously now on Russia's invasion of Ukraine?

The weak response from Can, EU and UN to Trump's flagrant crimes in Venezuela is striking.

It exposes that much of the world has been cowed.

Most notable exception: the Latin American left.

That is why the Trump Admin has gone to enormous lengths to defeat the left across the continent. 1/3

Time to recognise the Nobel Committee's role in awarding this year's Peace Prize to Trump's favourite Venezuelan, Maria Corina Machado?

Without their efforts, it would have been far harder to whitewash the US illegal invasion, the kidnapping of a sitting president, and the murder of Venezuelans.
