When people use the word "politics", they are probably referring to the current system where we alternate between two major Parties, which isn't a very pleasant topic. It will get less contentious once we get past that - our quality of life depends on it!

JobSeeker pays $20K/year, the Age Pension $30K/year.

In contrast, fossil fuel subsidies totalling $14.5B/year, benefiting 276K mining & industry workers at $52.5K each.

Welfare supports millions in need, yet subsidies heavily favor a small industry, highlighting stark funding disparities.

Lucky we can sack both these wet lettuce efforts:

(1) so-called offsets aren't good for the climate,
(2) a 5% annual reduction is so 20th century and
(3) electricity generators need to be included too.

We've only one safe climate after all.
The major party 'choice' on climate and energy:
- Labor's "key climate policy", the so-called safeguard mechanism, was taken from the LNP and is close to useless.
- The LNP's fake nuclear 'plan'.

Both are smokescreens for more fossil fuels.

Bipartisan gaslighting.

Pocock for PM
Sovereign defence capability should be built on sovereign Australian companies, but defence procurement doesn't properly consider the unfair advantage multinationals have in being able to shift their profits internationally and minimise tax.

I think this needs to change.

Plus the costs of not saving the climate : US$38 trillion annually by 2050!
And in 2023–2024, Australian governments provided $14.5 billion in subsidies to fossil fuel industries, which is a 31% increase from the previous year.
