Catalytic H/D Exchange of (Hetero)arenes with Early-Late Polyhydride Heterobimetallic Complexes: Impact of Transition Metal Pairs
Metal-catalyzed hydrogen isotope exchange (HIE) has become a valuable method for incorporating deuterium and tritium into organic molecules, with applications in a wide range of scientific fields. Thi...

Synergistic C–H bond activation across molybdenum–iridium multiply bonded complexes: a cascade of transformations
Heterobimetallic compounds offer unique opportunities for activating substrates through cooperative interactions between two distinct metal centers, potentially leading to catalytic reactivity beyond the reach of monometallic systems. The pairing of molybdenum with iridium has recently shown remarkable performance

have you heard about the fish that forgot its migration?

herring used to feed in northern Norway and migrate south (>1000km) to spawn

a few years ago they abruptly stopped doing that

authors think older adults were overfished & didn't "teach" younger fish to migrate!

Herring spawned poleward following fishery-induced collective memory loss - Nature
A critically low abundance of older herring due to age-selective fisheries resulted in an approximately 800-km poleward shift in main spawning.
