Trump isn't afraid of Russia. He's Russia's puppet. All he wants from Greenland are the minerals. His creature Andy Ogles was on @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social last night insisting against all evidence to the contrary, that Greenlanders want to be American. A rapist's mentality: "she wanted it really".

But but but what I want to know is when is someone with access - anyone really, world leader, politician, reporter, interviewer - going to look into his eyes and tell him to his face that he's a mad cunt bent on destroying the world and every sane person fucking hates him and wishes he'd drop dead?

Good grief, that appalling American Andy Ogles on @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social just now. Arrogant, rude, bombastic, insensitive as repetitive as a record stuck in a groove, and an absolutely cynical liar and bully. I don't believe these gangsters really believe a word of the shite they come out with.

"...an ideological view that access to culture is an indulgence – a “party” even – rather than a necessity and a right,,,Thatcherite values now dominate our thinking so much that artists themselves frequently speak up for what they do in terms of purely economic value." 🙄

With all Trump's threatening to do to other sovereign countries right now? With everything he's already doing to his own, supposedly free citizens? Absolutely not. Can't believe it's even on the cards.
Call off the King’s visit to the US for the 250th anniversary of America's independence
With the current political chaos in the US and Trump’s failure to adhere to international norms, and given his apparent obsession with the Monarchy, calling off this visit would send a powerful messag...

Exactly. Geolocation bans are easy for even the most vaguely tech-minded scumbag to circumnavigate.
Political journalists need to talk to their technology correspondents before reporting on Musk’s latest move

As you indicate, geolocation is not a real ban

Musk also refers to “real people”

Does that mean Grok will still undress AI generated images, and can Grok tell the difference?

This is absolutely not an accident. And it recalls the fascist slogans and imagery currently being used by the US government.

Who do you think is underrated as an author?
Mat Osman is author of two novels 'The Ruins' & 'The Ghost Theatre', & co-author of the wonderful 'England on Fire' with Stephen Ellcock. Best known as the bassist with the band Suede, imho he's a far superior writer to his brother Richard.

A decade ago today we lost the greatest creative I've encountered in my lifetime, and nothing in the world has been the same since. Here's the poem I wrote about his final album in my 2022 #poetry pamphlet 'Who Am I Supposed To Be Driving?'

A dominant theme of Hitler's speeches in the late 1930s is that Germany was surrounded by threats. These threats were imaginary: it was Nazi Germany that threatened other nations. But they were used to justify pre-emptive attacks. Trump is following this script.

X is undoubtedly the worst mainstream social platform - deleted my account early last year, but Meta is almost as bad. The content is literally incredible, in the sense that most posts can neither be verified or believed. I still have FB/Insta accounts but I'm seriously considering junking them too.
