This morning. Left too early for a train which left at 7.30, not 7. Dropped a coffee in M&S and got latte all over my trousers. Arrived at destination only to realise my meeting is next week. Went home via Falkirk and the locals saved the day with some brilliant street interviews. 🌞🙃

Last week was about hard energy politics - but also, gardening!

Met some lovely garden volunteers in Fife, and my piece about Haleh Nather, a West Lothian woman who's decided to take community planting into her own hands, is in Scotland Grows Magazine this month.

Fantastic phone-in on @stephenjardine.bsky.social on Scot Gov dropping 2-child benefit cap. Lots of ‘don’t have more kids’ chat. Then one lady comes in and says - ‘hang on, if we don’t have kids there will be no adults to pay taxes later. PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT’
