We are all angry, scared and want to do something. I've been wanting to collect a set of guidelines for direct action you can engage in that can actually help, that are informed by material analysis and also by what clearly hasn’t been working - a starting point for further collaboration:
I was so excited to get into tech in the 90s, I saw so much potential in what it could do to greatly improve so many day to day tasks that I was always struggling with (because ADHD, at the time, undiagnosed). I used to work on really cool or useful things. Lately I work on utter garbage I hate.

You're literally giving someone else power over you. A lot of someone elses actually, most of whom do not have your best interests in mind.
If you crave the occasional validation, get it from your trusted friends and loved ones. Everyone else, who cares, people are full of bad takes.
