this is a really good video about how increases in CO2 affect plant growth. the channel only has a few dozen subscribers, which is criminal.
How Rising CO2 Affects Plants: The Full Story
We've all heard, and probably believe, that at least one benefit of CO2 is that it will be good for plants. And sometimes, it will be. Or at least, it was. Some titles cut to save space. -- Point 0: FACE vs greenhouse studies: (Long 2006) "Food for Thought: Lower-Than-Expected Crop Yield Stimula

"Decadal decline in forest floor soil organic carbon after clear-cutting in Nordic and Canadian forests"
New paper published!
28-35 years until minimum soil C stock is reached
More initial soil C --> more loss!

Decadal decline in forest floor soil organic carbon after clear-cutting in Nordic and Canadian forests
Nordic and Canadian forests store substantial amounts of carbon (C) and are largely managed in a silvicultural system with clear-cut harvest. Previous…

Optimizing the closure period for improved accuracy of chamber-based greenhouse gas flux estimates
Non-steady-state chambers are often used for greenhouse gas flux measurements, and while there are recommendations on how long to keep the chamber clo…

Sweden has reduced its GHG emissions 38% since 1990 when excluding LULUCF (removals on land).

When LULUCF is added, Swedish GHG emissions have risen 11% since 1990!

Careful if including LULUCF in your GHG target...
